At Total Health Medical, our GPs provide travel health consultations for patients travelling overseas or to high-risk destinations. We assess your itinerary, medical history, and vaccination status to recommend appropriate travel vaccinations, medications, and documentation.

These appointments are provided as part of our general practice services, with consultations available at our Yeppoon and Emu Park clinics.

  • Our doctors will discuss a number of medications which may assist you on your travels. These include medications for nausea, vomiting, food poisoning, allergic reactions & a full range of other ailments.  

Medical Certificates and Travel Documentation

We can provide medical certificates and vaccination documentation required for travel, work, or immigration purposes where appropriate.

Feeling Unwell After Travel?

If you have returned from travel and are experiencing symptoms such as fever, gastrointestinal illness, fatigue, or infection, our GPs can assess and manage post-travel health concerns.

How far in advance should I book travel vaccinations?

Ideally 6–8 weeks before travel. Some vaccines require multiple doses or time to become effective.

Can I get malaria prevention tablets from a GP?

Yes. Our doctors can assess your travel risk and prescribe malaria prevention medication where appropriate.
