Dr Pete Smith

MBBS MRCGP AFOM RACGP FPC

Pete was born, raised and trained in the UK. He now calls Yeppoon home having moved here in 2003.

Pete’s interests are skin cancer and minor surgery, chronic disease management and the education of medical students and GP trainees.

Dr Chris Edwards

MBBS FRACGP Bpharm

Originally from North Queensland, Chris studied medicine at the University of Queensland. He worked throughout hospitals in Brisbane before moving to the Capricorn Coast in 2016 to complete his general practice training and now holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Chris is available for all general appointments for patients at Emu Park.

Dr Ela Azimi

Dr Ela Azimi is a highly skilled General Practitioner with extensive experience across a broad range of clinical areas. She is completing her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is recognised for her thorough, evidence-based approach and her commitment to providing the highest standard of care.

Ela’s areas of expertise include women’s health, complex chronic disease management, preventative medicine, and family care across all ages. Patients value her for her strong diagnostic skills, clear communication, and ability to manage both simple and complex conditions with confidence.

She is available for appointments at both our Taranganba and Emu Park practices, where she is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality medical care to the community.

Dr Ana Gholami

Dr Anahita Gholami.
Ana brings over 14 years of experience to our team and is highly skilled in providing comprehensive patient care. Her diverse background, combining medical training in both Iran and Canada, enables her to offer a unique, well-rounded approach to healthcare.

With her strong clinical knowledge and compassionate care, Ana has made a significant impact on the health and well-being of her patients.

Dr Hanieh Najafi

MD

Hanieh graduated from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 2020. Originally from Iran, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to patient care. She is interested in all areas of general practice, including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and chronic disease management. Hanieh provides a patient focused approach to general medicine.

Dr Aygin Sehat Nezhad

MD

Dr Aygin graduated as a General Practitioner in 2021 in Iran and relocated to Australia with her family in 2024.

She brings a strong background in public health and has a special interest in skin health, women’s health, and chronic disease management.

Dr Emma Fancett

MD

Emma graduated from the university of Melbourne medical school in 2019. She has spent 5 years working in intensive care and Emergency in Brisbane and rural NSW before moving to Yeppoon in 2025 to complete her GP training.
